These are cell-molded seedlings measuring 2.5 × 2.5 cm.
Since the seedlings are small, please transplant them into pots of about 10 cm and let them grow sufficiently before planting them in a greenhouse or field. As temperatures are rising, there is a risk they may wilt from the heat during shipping. Customers in regions far from our shipping location in Tohoku—especially those in areas with high temperatures—please consider this carefully.
*We are growing these from seeds purchased at a nursery. Since these are very expensive tomatoes—costing about 78 yen per seed—please refrain from asking for discounts.
As anyone who has tasted them knows, these are thin-skinned cherry tomatoes. Compared to regular cherry tomatoes, they have almost no skin, making them easy to eat even for elderly people without teeth. They are extremely tender and cannot be distributed through regular channels, so they are not sold in supermarkets or similar stores. If you’re lucky, you might be able to find them at farmers’ markets or roadside stands.
While I think growing them from seeds you purchase is the best option, these seeds are smaller than regular tomato seeds, which can be a challenge for first-time tomato growers. If you don’t germinate them properly, some or all of the seeds may fail to sprout, so I believe purchasing seedlings is the most efficient approach.
We use Yamato Transport’s “Nekopos” service for shipping.
We ship them in a thin cardboard box that is A4 size and 3 cm thick. Since Nekopos is a mail-drop service, it does not arrive as quickly as regular home delivery. If the package does not fit in your mailbox, please use a parcel locker or similar service to receive it.
We are a farm that primarily grows greenhouse vegetables. We’re sharing the surplus from our harvest with you. While some customers complain about small fruits or wilted cotyledons, we select and ship only those that won’t affect the plant’s growth. No two plants are exactly alike—each one varies in color and shape. Since these aren’t mass-produced items, please do not purchase them if you’re the type to get hung up on minor details.
