You need a personal customs clearance code

A mismatch between the code and the delivery name is the single most common reason a parcel from Japan sits at Incheon.
The threshold is per shipment, not per item
Consolidating several small purchases into one box can push a shipment past a limit that each item would have cleared individually. If your order is close to the line, ask us to split it across two shipments before it leaves the warehouse.
What you pay above the threshold
VAT plus a customs duty that varies by category. Apparel and footwear sit at the higher end of the range; books and printed matter are usually exempt. Secondhand condition does not change the rate — only the declared value does.
